Book in Progress: The Evolutionary Regression of Humans in the Age of AI

Abstract:

Human beings evolved to discover themselves through relationships with other minds. Artificial intelligence introduces the possibility that some of those relationships may involve systems that only simulate a mind.


Artificial intelligence may not replace human relationships, but by providing low-friction emotional regulation, it could gradually reshape the attachment expectations that organize human intimacy across generations.
